Being named a Spotlight School is the highest recognition in the New Mexico accountability system. Spotlight Schools are identified among the top 25% of schools statewide based on their overall ESSA accountability scores. This recognition reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community.
But we aren't stopping at the designation. The data tells an even bigger story.

NM Vistas also considers measures such as academic growth, graduation, college and career readiness, English learner progress, and regular attendance when evaluating school performance. Specifically, our overall attendance was up by almost 10% and our College and Career Readiness participation was up just over 10%!
